ADArt’s Summer Collective 2026 brings together artists working across painting, photography, installation, sculpture, performance and moving image to consider how our past continues to shape our present.
The exhibition follows the traces left by people, places, cultures, bodies and former selves—things that may remain close even after time, distance or loss has made them harder to reach. Images recall homes and relationships; materials hold cultural and bodily histories; repeated gestures preserve experiences that might otherwise become difficult to name or share. Here, return does not promise recovery. A remembered place cannot be re-entered unchanged, and an earlier self cannot be fully restored. Instead, the works ask what may still be carried forward. Memory emerges not as a fixed record, but as something continually reconstructed through the person remembering.
